Discover the art of the story through the pieces on the chess board: kings, queens, knights, and more! Families will begin with an interactive read-aloud of I Am A Story by Dan Yaccarino, leading into a collaborative character drawing game. We’ll complete our program by creating life-size characters inspired by those on the chess board using collage and painting techniques. Recommended for children ages 3-6 and their caregivers.
Colleen Fitzsimmons-Wiviott is an art and museum educator and the founder of Start With Art, which provides early childhood art education programming and consulting in St. Louis.
